Inside a characteristic building of the 1600s, Micalò ArtRooms is the combination of a “Guest House” and an “Art Boutique Hotel”: small, cozy, reserved and with a refined design.
Thanks to its proximity to the city’s main congress venues such as the Castel dell’Ovo, the Federico II University Congress Center in Via Partenope and the Mostra d’Oltremare, the structure is also ideal for business Guests.

ArtRooms Telling

We are in France, in the heart of Provence, one comes to know that in a small hotel, La Colomb D’or, You can sleep for free… indeed not really free, the managers, a young couple, accept paintings and sketches as a means of payment; today They are visible in all corners of this small hotel / museum still open. And so La Colomb D’or becomes a destination for young artists, as Picasso, Chagall and Renoir and others to whom it does not seem true to find board and lodging.

Michelle was born in England, daughter of a diplomat, used to travel, so she is enchanted by this little corner of paradise and her heart thinks that one day she would have her Colomb D’or.

Years pass, life, indeed love takes her to Naples, she looks around, the city fascinates her, she is enchanted and wants to do something to make it known. She collects small works of art, meets young artists and invents a place that can keep them. Thus was born Micalò in 2006, each of us cultivates a dream and Michelle had her own.

Ten years are passed, Micalò sets the trend, other Art Hotels rise in Naples but no one has the charm of Micalò.

We are in 2019, Michelle’s view goes elsewhere, other projects, other stories to tell.
